Speakers

Diane Caruso, DNP is an actively practicing Nurse Practitioner for 42 years and dually certified as a Family Nurse Practitioner and a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. She obtained her MS/FNP from State University NY Stony Brook and doctorate degree (DNP) from Duke University. Presently she is completing a Narrative Medicine program at Columbia University. She is an Associate Professor and the Director of the Doctor of Nursing Practice Program at Carson-Newman University. She has expertise in curriculum development, presently developing a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner Program at Carson Newman University. She is a published author on a variety of topics including DNP models of quality improvement, scholarly project development, pediatric asthma, and ADHD. She has been married for over 40 years to a PA! They have 3 children and 6 grandchildren. Diane is a professional pianist and choir director.
