Job satisfaction survey

Dear Arkansas Academy of Physician Assistants,

I am writing you on behalf of the Pediatric Surgical Physician Assistant Fellowship at Texas Children’s Hospital, an affiliate of Baylor College of Medicine. We are conducting a research project seeking to investigate whether longevity of practice effects job satisfaction within Physician Assistants. We would like to invite you and your program alumni to take part in our research.

The purpose of this study is to provide a means to analyze the various aspects of a PA’s career which contribute most significantly to long term job satisfaction and retention rates in relation to years of experience. This study will specifically compare physician assistants that have more than ten years of practice experience to physician assistants with less than ten years of practice experience. Additionally, this study will compare different aspects of a PA’s career in relation to overall satisfaction ratings. This will ultimately serve to improve retention rates among all practice settings as well as provide the individual PA with relevant data for career planning.
