ARAPA supports AAPA letter to CMS

Posted over 4 years ago

Dear colleagues,

ARAPA continues to work closely with AAPA to protect your ability to practice medicine and was one of 62 PA organizations to co-sign a recent letter to CMS. This letter served to commend the agency for increasing PA flexibility during the COVID-19 pandemic through regulatory changes and temporary waivers and to ask that these changes be made permanent. This letter also addressed false and misleading statements by physician organizations that have been in vocal opposition of these temporary changes. I urge you to read more about this important matter and the letter that was sent.

Membership and advocacy are more important than ever. Please keep your memberships to both AAPA and ARAPA up to date to help support these efforts. Attend our upcoming fall CME conference (Nov. 5th-7th, online and interactive!) not only to gain valuable medical knowledge and CME credits, but to network, attend our session on advocacy, and participate in the annual Board of Directors meeting open to the constituency. You will even get a chance to meet our lobbyist that will be starting with us this fall.

Great things are happening for ARAPA. Together we are stronger. Be a part of the momentum through membership and volunteerism.

Sincerely,

Heather Trudeau, PA-C

President, Arkansas Academy of PAs
