Happy Wednesday!
My name is Kelly Curran, and I’m the Vice-Chair of Education for Medical Students and Residents in the Department of Pediatrics at UAMS. I help to coordinate our weekly grand round series called Little Patients, Big Topics—I’m reaching out to share information about our presentation next week on January 29th, 12-1 pm that thought would be of interest.
It’s a panel presentation featuring Dr. Sarah Labuda (from Arkansas Department of Health), Anna Strong (from Arkansas AAP) and Dr. Heather Young (UAMS Peds ID) on "Navigating Vaccine Conversations with Families” given the recent changes in ACIP/CDC vaccine schedule.
Given this rapidly changing landscape—along with re-emergence of several vaccine preventable diseases—we want as many clinicians as possible to have up to date, evidenced-based, practical information on navigating this topic in clinical practice.
We know that PAs are an important partner in caring for kids, especially in Arkansas. We’d love to have colleagues caring for kids join us in person or virtually (zoom link below).
