PAs In Arkansas
Posted almost 6 years ago by Christopher Davis
I want to congratulate all physician assistants after PA week of making this your profession and contributing to the healthcare and impact of Arkansans. I am excited about a couple of things that I wanted to share with you. First off, UAMS had their most successful Heroes for Hunger 5K in history with 244 total runners and still tallying up the total money raised for Arkansas Food Bank. Second, a number of PAs, students and faculty members were at the governor's office this past Friday for a photo op moment as the governor signed the PA week proclamation that can be found on our photo gallery. Lastly, I want to encourage you to be a part of the ARAPA conference this weekend. We have some amazing opportunities for participants in this conference.
This year:
- Two student sessions in conjunction with main sessions to help students in preparation for PANCE as well as preparing them for future job interviews and beyond
- There will be two orthopedic specific cadaver sessions going on at same time as two main sessions where participants can be hands on with cadaver anatomy and discuss surgical procedure and outcomes
- There will be gift cards awarded to one to two participants at each main session to encourage attendance at all of the sessions.
We are so excited about the conference and I encourage you to be a part of it this weekend!
