Act 634 of 2021 led to some changes to PA prescriptive authority in Arkansas, and there has been some confusion regarding these changes. The chart below provides a rough outline for PA Prescriptive Authority in Arkansas. If you already have prescriptive authority for the medications listed below, you do not need to take any further action. If you would like to extend your prescriptive authority, please reference the PA Prescribing Privileges Chart (see copy below). Full rules and explanations can be found in the Rule 24 Update as well as The Arkansas Medical Practice Act.
