Physician Assistants increase care access

Physician assistants (PA) are part of the answer to our shortage of medical professionals that is limiting access to health care. It’s an increasing problem across the country, especially in rural Arkansas. Nationally certi ed and state licensed, PAs have gained the trust of patients. They are helping to achieve cost savings for U.S. health care. More than 100,000 PAs are currently certi ed to practice medicine in all 50 states.1 Arkansas has approximately 330 licensed PAs practicing throughout the state.
